Today's blog is for Crazy Challenge Insta-Hop #crazychallenge16

For this challenge, we are tasked with creating a card with theme of "Shapes"

It took me ages to decide how I wanted to interpret this challenge.  I started thinking hearts, then rectangles, then circles... finally I decided to focus on spots! I drew inspiration from a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator over at Stampin' Pretty.

I used the lovely Texture Chic Suite collection, with some help from the Brushed Shapes Dies, Gold Embossing Powder, Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots and, of course, a few splashes of Wink of Stella!

You can check out the items used in the Product List at the end of this post.

For this challenge, we are tasked with creating a card using the Nature's Harvest Stamp Set together with any Vellum.

I decided to try a technique I had not tried in many years - which involved using our blends on vellum and spritzing with rubbing alcohol to create a colourful background.  I used Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather and Polished Pink.

I then focused on the Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight for when using the Nature's Harvest Bundle.

I used white embossing powder for the sentiment.

I LOVE the mesh ribbon so used it for some texture and who can resist some splashes of Wink of Stella!

I decided to use this week's Creative Colour Challenge as a basis for my Customer Thank You cards this month.

Tasked with using Pool Party, Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party, I was not really sure how I would go!

I started with the three ink pads in front of me and decided to do some blending - Parakeet Party on the bottom, Pool Party in the middle and then Sweet Sorbet on the top.

I then layered this with some Sweet Sorbet cardstock, the top layer of which I embossed using the Stripes 3D Embossing Folder.

I used the Sale-a-Bration Beautifully Happy Stamp Set for my image and sentiment.  For the image, I used my blending brushes to get a soft tinge of Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party on the flower.

I topped it off with the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots and a few splashes of Wink of Stella.
